What these resources are for
A publishing plan usually breaks down in the same place: the content exists, but who owns it, which platform it targets and whether anyone approved it live in three different messages. These templates put those columns in one file, so the plan can be read without asking anyone.
They are built around the same workflow Postid uses — workspace, platform, owner, status and approval — so the file stays useful whether you stay in a spreadsheet or move the plan into the product later.
How to use them
- Download without an account. No email, no registration and no follow-up sequence — the file downloads directly from this site.
- Fill the owner and status columns first. Those two turn a content list into a plan; the readiness column is calculated from them.
- Review weekly, not daily. The workbook has a weekly summary and a short list of review questions for exactly that.
Where they stop
A spreadsheet cannot connect to a social account, cannot check whether a video meets a platform’s format rules and cannot tell you that a scheduled post failed. It records intent; it does not publish. That boundary is deliberate — the template is honest about being a planning file, not a publishing tool.
When that boundary starts to cost you time, the same columns already exist in the product: scheduling, approvals and media validation.
